Race details & FAQ

When is the race?

Saturday, November 7, 2026. The race starts at 8:00 AM sharp. Plan to arrive by 7:15 AM to pick up your bib and warm up.

Where is it?

Chamblee First United Methodist Church, 4147 Chamblee Dunwoody Rd, Chamblee, GA 30341. Parking is available in the church lot; volunteers will direct you on race morning.

What's the course like?

A true cross-country mix: wooded trails, open grass fields, and stretches of asphalt. Expect uneven ground in the woods — trail shoes help but aren't required. The course is marked and staffed by the Scouts of Troop 268.

How much does it cost?

$40 for adults and $35 for youth (under 18 on race day). Prices go up $10 after October 15, 2026. Your entry includes a timed run and an official race shirt.

Do I really get a shirt?

Yes — every finisher receives a race shirt. You pick your size (youth and adult sizes) when you register.

Where does the money go?

Every dollar supports Scouting America Troop 268 of Chamblee: summer camp, camping gear, advancement, and service projects.

Who is Troop 268?

Scouting America Troop 268 is Chamblee's Scouts BSA troop, chartered at Chamblee First United Methodist Church and proudly part of the Atlanta Area Council. The Scouts you'll see marking the course, staffing water stops, and cheering at the finish line are the ones your entry fee sends camping, hiking, and serving the community.

Can I get a refund?

Entry fees are a fundraiser donation and are generally non-refundable. If something comes up, email us at race@xc5k.com and we'll do our best to help.

Is there a waiver?

Yes. Every runner accepts the liability waiver during registration; parents or guardians accept on behalf of runners under 18.

Something else?

Email race@xc5k.com and a race organizer will get back to you.
